2021 Colour Challenge: April – Pink

Jude, from Travel Words is running a 2021 Colour challenge. April is the month to Think Pink!

Pink isn’t just a colour, it’s an attitude too

– Always look on the Pink side of life!

Havana’s iconic classic cars embody personality filled attitude with confidence & style –

… and of all the vintage vehicles, the Barbie pink classics, with their huge shiny chrome hips & skirts are driven by the coolest dudes!

Vintage cars gliding around Havana: a Castronomically cool place to be..!

Peter Gabriel, singer & songwriter:

‘All of these cars were once a dream in someone’s head!’

Be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons!

Part of a sturdy set of kitchen chairs I collected from Trash Nothing & upcycled for my youngest daughter. A fantastic individual such as Holly deserves equally fantastic, individual chairs… with Pinktastic attitude!

I used the amazing 1970s fabric from my sister’s prized childhood bed valance. Top of the style then, she had her whole bedroom decorated in this big bloomed, energizing pink…

That same Hippy Happy pink is now ready to provide Happy Days in my one-of-a-kind daughter Holly’s kitchen!

Pink makes me happy when I’m feeling blue!

… a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do

– with a bit of help from my trusty pink ‘Ox’, as the brand is called…

It’s hard work looking after 7 acres, but my 120 Litre Ox barrow, with pink puncture proof wheel ensures that even the heaviest, muddiest of tasks on the wettest of days is seen through rose tinted spectacles 🙂

It’s not called an Ox Wheelbarrow for nothing!

Pink means… sugar, spice, and all things nice!

Think pink and party!

Pink early spring rhubarb tart
Pink rhubarb & custard cheesecake

When in doubt, get the pretty pink china out and bake a cup cake…

The ones in the pink cases are full of hugs and happy beans, guaranteed!

PINK is always in season…

Stay in the pink…

Eat your greens – especially the pink ones!

Home grown Rainbow Lights Chard… perfectly pink (and orange, red, yellow…!)

Pink is not just for Valentine’s day

& nor are roses..!

Dale Carnegie, Author:

“We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon
– instead of enjoying the roses blooming outside our windows today.”
