
Less than a minutes drive on the A24, and sometimes called ‘The Wise Old Owl’ our local is a friendly pub & restaurant with a small outdoor seating area and a large car park. An ideal starting point, with a good place to leave the car, then to return to for a well earned drink.
During the easy 5 miles (8.1km), you will find a couple of short ascents and descents crossing streams and meadows, and a bluebell wood which is a real treat in the Spring.
As you can see from the images below, I last enjoyed this walk in the early Autumn when the gigantic Rose Hips were at their best. Further afield, the extensive views across Sussex and beyond are wondrous.
