The 2021 Life in Colour Challenge, hosted by Travel Words, is encouraging bloggers to look at different colours around them each month. June’s colours are white and silver. So, here are some natural whites from The Oaks, in all their varied hues – silver to follow!

Bursts of aromatic wild garlic flowers fill our local woodland with their pungent spring aroma. Set under the paper white trunks, lit by shafts of bright white, early season sunlight:

I suspected but was not sure, so asked a local wildlife expert for definitive identification – he is an amazing oracle on any aspect of wildlife flora and fauna!

Thank you! Yes he is beautiful – though a bit of a bulldozer now: loves using the pampas grass as a trampoline and is definitely the ‘leader’ amongst this year’s happy gaggle of lambs!

Thank you so much! It was such a lovely surprise to find the eggs – I gently replaced them, and had to use a different mulch pile for my veg beds for the following few weeks! 🙂
